Sinners has made its way to the small screen.
After weeks of box office success — raking in over $363 million in ticket sales worldwide, according to Forbes — the hit vampire thriller from director Ryan Coogler premiered on Max on July 4.
The Warner Bros Pictures project reunited Coogler with Michael B. Jordan, who portrays identical twin brothers in the movie. The duo previously collaborated on Black Panther, Creed and Fruitvale Station.
Sinners follows twins Smoke and Stack who return to their Mississippi hometown hoping to leave their past behind by opening a blues club, only to attract the attention of a mysterious vampire. In an April 2025 interview with LeBron James for Interview Magazine, Coogler said it was “incredible” to watch Jordan embody the two brothers.
“I think it’s his greatest acting challenge yet,” the acclaimed director said. “I say that having been there to see him level up each time … But this was a challenge I had never put on any actor.”
So, where can you watch Sinners after it leaves theaters? Here’s everything to know about where to stream — and buy — Michael B. Jordan and Ryan Coogler’s hit horror movie.

Set in 1932 Mississippi, identical twin brothers Smoke and Stack (both played by Jordan) return to their hometown to leave their troubles behind and turn an abandoned mill into a blues nightclub.
Backed by stolen money and joined by their cousin Sammie (Miles Caton), the club’s grand opening draws in more than just curious locals. Among the guests is a mysterious vampire (Jack O’Connell) whose arrival turns the celebration into something far more sinister.
To help Jordan prepare for the roles, Coogler told PEOPLE in April 2025 that they worked with real-life twins to understand their dynamics.
“They gave us a lot of perspective on what it’s like to be an identical twin and that bond that they have,” the director said. “Since I’ve known these guys, they’ve shared one cell phone. So you’d call and you don’t know which one was going to answer the phone but you knew the other one was always going to be right there.”
Hailee Steinfeld also stars in the film as Stack’s ex-girlfriend Mary. The actress and Jordan celebrated the movie’s success with a joint bloody Instagram selfie, writing in the caption, “2 weeks at #1… Thank you for being part of this experience. ❤️.”
Other cast members include Delroy Lindo, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller and Li Jun Li.

Sinners premiered on April 3 in New York City before it was released in theaters on April 18, earning $45.6 million at the domestic box office during its opening weekend. That made it the highest-grossing original film since the pandemic, according to Forbes.
The movie’s wild success even knocked the popular A Minecraft Movie out of its top spot — and made history as the first horror in 35 years to receive an A from CinemaScore, a company that polls opening-night audiences.
“I haven’t even begun to reckon with the fact that this movie is number one, ” Coogler told Forbes in April 2025. “It’s crazy. This movie is about like my uncle. It is bizarre, but when I think about it, when I take my feelings out of it, I’m not surprised.”

Sinners premiered on Max on July 4, and the streaming platform offers two viewing options. Fans can choose to play the theatrically-released version or the Black American Sign Language (BASL) version.
This is the first time a streaming service has interpreted a film into BASL, which is “a distinct dialect of American Sign Language (ASL)” with its own “unique grammar, signing space, rhythm, facial expressions and cultural nuances,” according to a press release from Warner Bros and Max.
Nakia Smith will interpret the film’s BASL.
