International hightech consultancy firm TMC has launched a new office in Geneva, marking its entry in the Swiss market.
From its base in Geneva, TMC will provide its engineering, technology, and consultancy services to clients across Switzerland. Globally, TMC serves clients in R&D-intensive sectors, while in Switzerland, the firm will initially focus exclusively on the life sciences and energy industries.
“Switzerland’s eco-conscious industry landscape and stable, innovation-focused economy at the heart of Europe, offer a fertile ground for TMC’s unique business model, combining entrepreneurial spirit with technical excellence. We are thrilled to be strengthening our position as a global partner in hightech development,” said TMC CEO Emmanuel Mottrie. “The goal is to build a 100-person team in Switzerland by 2030.”
Geneva becomes the firm’s 38th office – they are based in 17 countries. Earlier this year, TMC also expanded into Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
The new entity will be led by Irina Chevalier (CEO) and Alain Chenafi (COO). “Switzerland’s stable economy, multilingual landscape, and proximity to our existing offices in France, Germany, and Italy make it an ideal environment for this expansion. Many of our existing clients run operations in Switzerland too, so bringing our talent to the Swiss market responds directly to client demand and market potential,” the two leaders stated.
TMC was founded in 2000 in the Netherlands. The Eindhoven-headquartered company has more than 2,800 staff, including engineers, scientists, digital experts, and management consultants.
