Supercell’s Mo Co is now playable for all worldwide – Mobilegamer.biz

Supercell’s monster hunting game Mo Co is now playable worldwide without the need for an invite.

The latest Supercell launch was rolled out globally in March, but until now was only playable through an invite system. From today, players no longer need an invite.

Since March, most Mo Co invites have been distributed through official Supercell creators, and by request through the game’s website.

“That’s right, mo.co is now officially open for everyone to play, you don’t need to receive an invite,” Supercell said in a blog. “HOWEVER… this doesn’t mean it’s our GLOOOOOBALLLL!!! moment or that suddenly you’ll see Luna, Jax, and Manny chilling on the mega screens in Shibuya.”

“The team is still going lowkey with marketing and focused on building the game the right way. So keep an eye out for some of the startup’s scrappy recruitment efforts and in the meantime, get out there and hunt those Chaos Monsters!”

From March: ‘Supercell is launching Mo co worldwide tomorrow, but there’s a catch’.

As we’ve reported previously, Supercell had been teasing a global launch for this game since mid-2024, and the Finnish firm held limited beta tests with players in October 2023. We later asked several industry experts what they thought of the beta, and they came away (mostly) impressed.

Another new Supercell title, Boat Game, broke cover for the first time in February, not long after we revealed details of Space Ape’s transition into Supercell London. That resulted in around 70 staff moving to the new outfit, with around 30 layoffs and new homes for Chrome Valley Customs, Fastlane and Transformers: Earth Wars.

As part of the moves, Squad Busters also has a new general manager, 10 year Space Ape veteran Johnathan Rowlands. During a recent earnings Q&A, Supercell CEO Ilkka Paananen confirmed that the Finnish firm had 10 games in development, and recently added five new game teams to its ranks through its incubator program, Spark.
