Pirates And Braves Make Trade (Colin Holderman Also Has Rehab Assignment Transferred to Triple-A Indianapolis)


The Pittsburgh Pirates today acquired minor league outfielder Titus Dumitru and cash considerations from the Atlanta Braves, in exchange for right-handed pitcher Hunter Stratton.

The 22-year-old Dumitru batted .231 (58-for-251) with 27 runs, nine doubles, two triples, three home runs, 36 RBI, 26 walks, 13 stolen bases and 27 runs scored over 64 games with High-A Rome this season.

Dumitru, who was selected by Atlanta in the 16th round of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft out of New Mexico State University, made his professional debut last season with Low-A Augusta, hitting .217 (20-for-92) with six doubles, a triple, a home run, 11 RBI, 13 walks, four stolen bases and 15 runs scored in 27 games.

Additionally, right-handed pitcher Colin Holderman had his rehab assignment transferred from Low-A Bradenton to Triple-A Indianapolis.
