Sheppard (6-2, 198 pounds) was one of seven players who tried out for the Broncos at mandatory minicamp, but none of them were signed. The 23-year-old receiver spent four years at Vanderbilt before transferring to Colorado ahead of the 2024 season.
He had an impressive fall with the Buffaloes, totaling 48 receptions for 621 yards and six touchdowns in 2024. Sheppard wrapped up his college career with 200 catches for 2,688 yards and 27 touchdowns in 55 games. After going undrafted in April, Sheppard is now signing with the Packers as a college free agent.
As for Denver, their top receivers going into camp are Courtland Sutton, Devaughn Vele, Marvin Mims, Pat Bryant, Troy Franklin and Trent Sherfield.
