One arrested after Des Moines police chase ends in crash


One person has been arrested after leading Des Moines police in a pursuit following a hit-and-run.Des Moines police say just before 4:45 p.m. Monday, a patrol officer near Easton Boulevard and Hubbell Avenue spotted a vehicle matching the description of one that had just been involved in a hit-and-run. When the officer attempted a traffic stop, the vehicle sped away.According to police, the pursuit continued into Pleasant Hill until the fleeing driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into an embankment. The driver then attempted to run from the crash, but was apprehended and taken into custody.This is a developing story.
