The talk show host, 50, shared a post on Instagram on Tuesday, June 24, in which she went makeup-free — and shed some light about her feelings on the milestone age.
The Charlie’s Angels star gave fans and followers a pared-down look at her skin without the help of makeup. The star gave a big smile to the camera as she took the selfie, which showcased her smile lines, as well as her forehead and eye creases.

She kept a fresh complexion that allowed an unfiltered look at her freckles and skin texture, and her hair — worn in loose waves that fell past her shoulders — contained subtle strands of gray.
“50 = The B-Side of life — where the real magic starts to spin!” she captioned the photo.

Fans in the comments section of the post had positive words for Barrymore. “It’s amazing. Truly. Welcome to the decade. You truly let go of everything that doesn’t matter,” one user wrote, while another added, “Life is always better on the flip-side! You are Beautiful Drew!”

Barrymore’s makeup-free selfie comes two months after she revealed in April that she has not had any cosmetic procedures done on her face and hopes that she can continue embracing her beauty as she ages.
“I haven’t done anything and I want to try and stay that way … but I also am like, do whatever works for you. The only thing I do know is don’t judge other people because they do things differently,” she said in a behind-the-scenes moment on The Drew Barrymore Show.
Barrymore further revealed that as she ages, the goal is to be more kind and caring toward herself and how she talks about her appearance, because the “more loving, embracing, less dismissive that we can be, the better it is for our mental game and spiritual game, which affects the face.”

She added, “A smile is better than any lipstick you’ll buy, and internal dialog that isn’t so eviscerating of ourselves and so quick to catch a flaw — who says that’s the flaw, by the way, that might be someone else’s favorite thing about you…how ironic. It isn’t how you look, it’s how you feel.”
