Despite keeping their kids largely out of the public eye, Bezos and Sánchez have been supporting each other’s children ever since they began dating in 2019.

Of his four children, only his oldest son Preston’s name has been made public. Preston was born in 2000 and is named after Bezos’ side of the family — Bezos, his grandfather and great-grandfather all have the middle name Preston.

The former couple share two younger sons. They also welcomed a daughter via adoption from China.

When Bezos and Scott announced their separation in January 2019 after 25 years of marriage, they expressed their intention of co-parenting together.

“We’ve had such a great life together as a married couple, and we also see wonderful futures ahead, as parents, friends, partners in ventures and projects, and as individuals pursuing ventures and adventures,” Bezos wrote on X at the time. “Though the labels might be different, we remain a family, and we remain cherished friends.”

Six months later in July 2019, Scott confirmed that they finalized their divorce and wrote that she was “looking forward to next phase as co-parents and friends.”

Meanwhile, Sánchez has three children: sons Nikko (born 2001) and Evan (born 2006) and daughter Ella (born 2008).

Sánchez welcomed Nikko with her then-boyfriend Gonzalez, whom she dated in the early 2000s. After their split, Sánchez married Whitesell in 2005, with whom she welcomed son Evan and daughter Ella. They got divorced in 2019 and share joint physical custody.

Bezos and Sánchez have each mostly kept their children out of the spotlight.

Prior to their divorce, Bezos and Scott made a rare family appearance when they attended the premiere of Star Trek Beyond in July 2016. The former couple and all four children smiled for a family photo on the red carpet.

Three years later, Bezos brought Preston to the American Portrait Gala at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in 2019.

Meanwhile, Sánchez has also prioritized her younger children’s privacy, keeping Evan and Ella’s faces hidden online.

While Sánchez’s younger children have led more private lives, her older son, Nikko, has pursued a career in modeling.

In January 2024, Nikko made his runway debut in Dolce & Gabbana’s Fall/Winter 2024-2025 menswear show in Milan. Sánchez attended the show with Bezos, subsequently posting a video of Nikko walking in the show.

“Just a proud mama. It was such a gift to watch my son @nikkogzz walking the runway for @dolcegabbana in Milan. Congrats, my love 💙,” Sánchez captioned the video.

In July, Nikko once again walked the runway for Dolce & Gabbana at the brand’s Alta Sartoria 2024 show in Italy.

“Wait for proud mom moment,” Sánchez wrote in a subsequent Instagram Story from the event, per WWD.

While both Bezos and Sánchez mostly keep their children out of the spotlight, Sánchez has shared some photos from holidays with their blended family.

In 2021, Sánchez revealed that she spent Christmas with Bezos, her son Nikko, her sister and Bezos’ brother Mark in St. Barts. A source told PEOPLE at the time that the trip “was a big family celebration.”

“Nothing better than this,” she captioned the since-deleted snap on Instagram.

In April 2024, Sánchez and Bezos took her three children on a family trip to Japan for her kids’ spring vacation.

Later that same year, they spent Thanksgiving with Nikko, Gonzalez and Gonzalez’s wife, October “Tobie” Gonzalez.

Tobie posted Instagram photos of all of them spending the holiday together, captioning the pictures, “FULL. My heart, my belly, my eyes. A Thanksgiving for the books.”

The couple loves to eat meals with their children whenever possible, including breakfasts before school.

“I like to putter in the mornings,” Bezos told the Economic Club of Washington, D.C., at a September 2018 event, according to CNBC. “I like to read the newspaper, I like to have coffee, I like to have breakfast with my kids before they go to school.”

Typically, Bezos and Sánchez have more time on the weekends to spend with their families.

“On a typical Saturday, we hang out, we have dinner with the kids, which is always fun because you never know where the conversation is going to go with this many kids,” Sánchez told WSJ Magazine in January 2023. “We are the Brady Bunch!”

Bezos has encouraged his kids to build things with their hands. During a SummitLA panel in November 2017, he revealed that he let his kids handle knives at age 4 and power tools by ages 7 or 8, according to CNBC.

[My grandfather] would take on major projects that he didn’t know how to do and then figure out how to do them,” he said. “As a kid, I got to see him solve all these problems and be a real problem-solver.”

The following year, Bezos spoke about encouraging his kids to pursue careers they’re passionate about.

“Whatever you do, choose something you can bring passion to,” he said at a gala for the global nonprofit FIRST in 2018, per CNBC. “That’s going to make it easier for you to make that choice to work hard.”

Sánchez, who is a pilot and flying enthusiast, revealed in 2017 that all three of her children have taken flying lessons.

“I was always in the hangar growing up but knew nothing about flying,” she told The Hollywood Reporter in 2017. “I went into flight school.”

She added, “Life can be so chaotic with so much going on. Lift off and you’re in an energy space that no one else is in. It’s calming. When I’m up there, I’m completely satisfied. I’m like, ‘This is where I need to be.’ ”
