Staying hot and humid with some pop-up showers

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A very warm and humid end to the weekend. Some relief from the heat comes this week with increasing rain chances.

NEXT 24 HOURS:

Plan on another toasty day today. Highs will be in the low to mid 90s, but when you factor in the humidity, it will feel more like the triple digits outside at times. There’s an isolated chance for a pop-up shower or two this afternoon, but most everyone stays dry. Rain chance, 20%. Lows fall to the low to mid 70s overnight.

MONDAY:

Morning- Starting off in the low to mid 70s.

Afternoon- Hot and humid again with highs in the 90s. Heat index values could be around 100º again. Rain chance, 30%.

Evening- Rain clearing out. Lows fall to the low 70s.

TUESDAY:

Morning- Starting off in the lower 70s. Partly cloudy.

Afternoon- Some afternoon showers will develop. Rain chance, 40%. Highs in the low 90s.

Evening- Lows fall to the low 70s again overnight.

WEDNESDAY & BEYOND:

Rain chances will increase by the middle of the week. Plan on widespread showers and thunderstorms each day. Wednesday and Thursday look to be the wettest days of the week.

The rain will help cool off temperatures slightly. Highs will be in the upper 80s to low 90s by the middle to end of the week.

Rain chances begin to taper off by Friday and Saturday, but you’ll still need the umbrella, just in case.

Lows will be in the low 70s all week long.
