The Fourth of July is all about celebrating our independence, and there’s no better way to do that than with dazzling firework shows, patriotic parades, bustling festivals and more.
There are celebrations like this taking place all throughout North Jersey, so you’re sure to find something the family will enjoy. But Independence Day will be here before we know it, so now’s the time to get your plans figured out.
We’ve compiled a list of the currently scheduled events to make your life easier, and will be adding more events leading up the holiday as they become available. If you’re hosting, or know of, a July 4th celebration that’s not on this list, let me know at [email protected] so we can add it.
Here’s a look at the Fourth of July firework shows and events taking place in North Jersey in 2025, by date.
Fireworks in North Jersey on June 27
Lake Hopatcong Annual Fourth of July Fireworks — June 27. The Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club will be hosting their annual fireworks show on the main lake of Lake Hopatcong. Parking will be available on Bertrand Island for residents and members only. Hours: Starts at 9:30 p.m. Go: 75 North Bertrand Road, Mount Arlington.
Montville Township Fourth of July Celebration — June 27. Festivities will include live music, food trucks, a beer truck, rides and a car show. There will be a fireworks show on the last night of the celebration. Parking is $10 per car. Hours: 5 to 10:30 p.m. on June 25; 5 to 10 p.m. on June 26; and 4:45 to 9:15 p.m. on June 27, with fireworks to follow. Go: Montville Township High School, 100 Horseneck Road, Montville.
Pequannock Township Fireworks — June 27. This celebration will feature food vendors and a fireworks show. They will also be collecting donations for Brandon’s Heart & Sole and the Pequannock Food Pantry. Hours: Starts at 7 p.m. Go: Pequannock Township High School, 85 Sunset Road, Pompton Plains.
Summer Music: New Jersey Symphony and Fireworks Spectacular at Branch Brook Park — June 27. As part of the Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series, this event will feature live music and a fireworks display. Hours: Starts at 7:30 p.m. Go: Branch Brook Park, Park Avenue and Lake Street, Newark.

Cedar Grove Annual Fireworks Display —June 30. Festivities will include a live DJ, a balloon artist, a blow-up carnival maze, crafts and food, followed by the annual fireworks display. Hours: Starts at 7 p.m. Go: Panther Park Field, 118 W Bradford Ave., Cedar Grove.
Hasbrouck Heights Fireworks Extravaganza — June 30. The Lions Club of Hasbrouck Heights will be hosting their annual Fourth of July fireworks display. Hours: Gates will open at 7 p.m. Go: Depken Field, 238-254 Oldfield Ave., Hasbrouck Heights.
Lyndhurst Independence Day Celebration — June 30. The Department of Parks and Recreation in Lyndhurst is hosting their annual July 4th celebration, featuring a DJ, food trucks, novelty vendors and a fireworks display. Hours: Starts at 6 p.m. Go: Little League Fields, 255 Riverside Ave., Lyndhurst.

Englewood’s 2025 Fireworks Celebration — July 1. Mayor Michael Wildes and Englewood City Council will be hosting the city’s annual Fourth of July fireworks display. Hours: Starts at 7 p.m. Go: Dwight Morrow High School Front Lawn, 274 Knickerbocker Road, Englewood.
Mendham’s Fourth of July Celebration — July 1. There will be live music, food trucks, giveaways and arts and crafts, followed by a fireworks display. There is a suggestion $10 donation for entry. Hours: Starts at 6:30 p.m. Go: Mosle Field, Mosle Preserve Road, Mendham.
Summer Music: Stage Revolution – A Night of Rock and Fireworks Spectacular at Weequahic Park — July 1. Part of the Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series, visitors can listen to live music and enjoy a fireworks display. Hours: Starts at 7:30 p.m. Go: Weequahic Park, Elizabeth and Meeker Avenues, Newark.
Fireworks in North Jersey on July 2
Summer Music: The Infernos and Fireworks Spectacular at Brookdale Park — July 2. As part of the Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series, there will be live music in Brookdale Park, followed by a fireworks spectacular. Hours: Starts at 7:30 p.m. Go: Brookdale Park, Watchung Ave., Bloomfield.
Hanover Township’s Annual Patriotic Celebration — July 2. Festivities will include live entertainment, food trucks and activities like a bounce house, face painting and balloon sculptures, followed by a fireworks display. Hours: Starts at 6 p.m. Go: Veterans Field , North Jefferson Road, Whippany.
Verona Fourth of July Fireworks — July 2. There will be a DJ, dancing and other entertainment, followed by a fireworks display. Hours: Starts at 7 p.m. Go: Liberty Field, White Rock Road, Verona.
Wayne Fourth of July Fireworks — July 2. The Wayne PAL will be hosting their annual July 4th fireworks display. Hours: Starts at 6 p.m. Go: Wayne Hills High School Fields, 272 Berdan Ave., Wayne.

Dover Independence Day Fireworks Celebration — July 3. Enjoy a dazzling fireworks show in honor of the Fourth of July in Dover. Hours: Gates open at 6 p.m. Go: Hamilton Field, 302 E McFarlan St.
Maywood Fireworks Celebration — July 3. Visitors will enjoy live music in the park, followed by a fireworks display. Hours: Live music starts at 6:30 p.m., and the firework show starts at 9:15 p.m. Go: Memorial Park, 800 Spring Valley Road, Maywood.
Oradell Annual Fourth of July Fireworks — July 3. The Borough will be hosting a Fourth of July celebration with food trucks and a fireworks show. Hours: Starts at 6:30 p.m. Go: Memorial Field, 343 Prospect Ave., Oradell.
Ramsey Independence Day Celebration — July 3. Festivities will include live music from local bands and food trucks, as well as a fireworks display. Hours: Starts at 7:30 p.m. Go: Finch Park, 205 Church St., Ramsey.
Fireworks in North Jersey on July 4
Allendale Fourth of July Celebration — July 4. A free concert by the Community Band of Waldwick, followed by a fireworks display presented by the Borough. Hours: 7:30 to 11 p.m. Go: Crestwood Lake Park, 300 W Crescent Ave., Allendale.
Bergen County’s 2nd Annual Star-Spangled Spectacular — July 4. The event will feature children’s activities, food trucks, a beer and wine garden, live music from the New Jersey Wind Symphony and a fireworks display. Hours: Starts at 2:30 p.m. Go: Ridgefield Park section of Overpeck County Park, 199 Challenger Road.
Independence Day Picnic at Dey Mansion — July 4. At Dey Mansion, there will be lawn games, live music, food and more in celebration of the Fourth of July. Hours: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Go: Dey Mansion, 199 Totowa Road.
July 4th Hometown Heroes Parade and Sussex County Miners Game — July 4. This night of celebration will include the annual Hometown Heroes Parade, a game between the Sussex County Miners and the Ottawa Titans, as well as a fireworks display. Hours: Gates open at 4:30 p.m. Go: Skylands Stadium, 94 Championship Place, Augusta.
Little Falls Annual 4th of July Street Fair — July 4. Hosted by members of the Little Falls PBA #346, this event will feature food trucks, craft vendors, live music, touch-a-truck, face painting, a trackless train and more. Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Go: Main Street and Stevens Avenue, Little Falls.
Livingston’s Annual July 4th Celebration — July 4. This all-day event features a car show, food trucks, live music, a beer garden, children’s activities and more. The celebration will conclude with Livingston’s annual fireworks show. Hours: Festivities start at 9 a.m. Go: Check the Township’s website for locations for each event. Fireworks will take place at The Oval, Wahler Road and Robert H Harp Drive, Livingston.
Montclair’s July 4th Parade and Community Picnic — July 4. The Township will be hosting their annual Fourth of July parade, followed by a community picnic with food trucks, games, music and activities. Hours: Parade starts at 11 a.m. and the community picnic starts at 1 p.m. Go: Parade steps off at Bloomfield and South Fullerton Avenues. The community picnic will take place at Edgemont Park, 274 Valley Road, Montclair.
Morristown National Historical Park Fourth of July Activities — July 4. Free festivities will include stories from the 18th century, a public reading of the Declaration of Independence, tours of Washington’s Headquarters Museum and grounds, among others. Hours: Starts at noon. Go: Washington’s Headquarters Museum, 30 Washington Place, Morristown.
Oradell’s Independence Day Parade and Celebration — July 4. There will be a parade, followed by a celebration with a DJ, games, a wet down and a beer garden. Hours: Starts at 9 a.m. Go: The parade steps off at Third Street and Oradell Ave., traveling to Memorial Field, Oradell.
Annual Paramus Independence Day Parade — July 4. Ring in the Fourth of July with the annual parade in Paramus. Hours: Starts at 9 a.m. Go: The parade will step off at Farview Avenue and East Century Road, ending at Memorial Elementary School, Paramus.
River Edge Fourth of July Parade & Family Fair — July 4. There will be a patriotic parade, followed by a fair with food, a beer garden, live music, rides and more. Hours: The parade starts at 11 a.m., and the Family Fair will run from noon to 4 p.m. Go: The parade steps off in front of Cherry Hill School and will travel to Veteran’s Memorial Park on Continental Avenue, where the Family Fair will be.
Ridgefield Park 131st Annual Fourth of July Parade and Celebration — July 4. There will be a reading of the Declaration of Independence at 7:30 a.m. at Memorial Plaza, followed by a flag raising ceremony. There will then be the Baby & Youth Parade at 9 a.m., followed by the Main Civic Parade at 11:30 a.m. Hours: Festivities start at 7:30 a.m. Go: Memorial Plaza, Euclid Avenue and Mt. Vernon Street, Ridgefield Park.
Ridgewood’s 115th Annual Fourth of July Celebration — July 4. Enjoy live music, a 50/50 drawing and food, followed by a fireworks display. Hours: Starts at 6 p.m. Go: Veterans Field, 259 N Maple Ave., Ridgewood.
Fireworks in North Jersey on July 5
Fan Appreciation Night & Fireworks at Meadowlands Racetrack — July 5. Enjoy a night of horse racing and special deals like $1 concession items or $2 Bud or Bud Light drafts. There will also be a free fireworks show following the races. Hours: 6 to 10 p.m. Go: Meadowlands Racetrack, 1 Racetrack Drive, East Rutherford.
Tenafly’s Annual Independence Day Fireworks Celebration — July 5. Enjoy live music followed by a fireworks show. Hours: Starts at 7:30 p.m. Go: Behind Tenafly High School, 19 Columbus Drive, Tenafly.
Fireworks in North Jersey on July 6
Clifton Independence Day Celebration — July 6. The event features food trucks and a carnival with games, rides and entertainment, followed by a fireworks show. Tickets are required, which can be purchased ahead of time at City Hall or at the gate. Hours: Starts at noon. Go: Clifton Stadium, 350 Piaget Ave., Clifton.
Paramus Food Truck Festival and Fireworks Show — July 6. Festivities will include food trucks, live music and a fireworks show. Hours: Starts at 6 p.m. Go: Cliff Gennarelli Sports Complex, Garden State Plaza Parkway.
Fireworks in North Jersey on July 10
Randolph Freedom Festival — July 10 through July 12. This annual three-day festival will feature live music, carnival games, rides, classic festival food and a beer garden. The Randolph Kiwanis Freedom Parade will also take place on July 12, followed by a fireworks display that evening. Hours: The Freedom Festival takes place from 6 to 11 p.m. each day. The Randolph Kiwanis Freedom Parade starts at 10 a.m., and fireworks will take place at 9:45 p.m., on July 12. Go: County College of Morris, 214 Center Grove Road, Randolph.
